Morning!
It's definitely a chilly one here in Indiana, at a mere 8 degrees.
The children are off to school, and my wonderful husband just got home from his driving job. He had to go to Kentucky last night. Wish I could have talked to him a bit more on his way, but my job was pretty pressing last night of its own.
Oldest dd let the fire die down a bit too far, now we have a cold house along with a cold outside. But dh is fixing us up. We're having an obeying issue with the oldest. She just absolutely refuses to obey! We'll ask her to do something, and she'll just sit like she didn't hear us, or get up and go elsewhere and pretend she did her work or task, but we find later that she has not. It's out of hand, and we are at a loss. I, for one, am ready to shake her a good one! DH? Well, let's just say dh was raised a good part of his childhood by an ol true blue Kentucky hills Grandma that believed work was always done before play....
The worst part of it is.... now the younger daughter is trying to follow in her footsteps. We need to grab a foothold and now. Today.

I accomplished cleaning out the oven yesterday and scrubbing the racks. The oven looks pretty good, if you ask me! :)
Now, I get to mess it up again and do some baking! LOL!
I think I'll bake some bread today and maybe an apple pie for dh, I don't quite know yet.

Weight Watchers hasn't been going too good for me lately. My mind can't get wrapped around it for some reason. Lazy, I guess.... I can't bring myself to journal and therefore, know how many points I have for the day.
I've been letting myself have too many points and tricking myself into thinking there aren't as many as there really are....
That's about it for the old Hatfield Homestead.....
What ya'll been up to lately?
My daughter is soon to be 13 and she sounds like a twin of your daughter. Gotta love teen years, if only for the prayer life it builds in we parents! :)
ReplyDeletehey you low life loser- why dont you leave people alone? too ashamed to post your name huh? had to do it anonymously??? What a f*cking moron. you have no idea who these people are, or how they live their life. Woah! forgive my mom for trying to teach her children some responsibility!
ReplyDeleteSo shut the f*ck up and jump off a high building or run into something sharp ok?
(sorry ma... LOVE YOU)
you must be the person who left the nasty comment about how she "beat" my kid while I was away....
ReplyDeleteMy mom is alot more patient and polite then I am... Having been in the Army for awhile, I tend to speak my mind a bit more.
Saying that-
Leave my family alone, you sophomoric-*****.
(again... sorry ma... these people just piss me off)
Go Amanda!
ReplyDeleteI received a pretty nasty e-mail recently from someone who was too cowardly to let me know who they are.
Apparantly, there is a website in Switzerland that allows people to do this and no one will ever find out who they are.
I will forward you the e-mail.
Gotta love cowards, huh?????
