Logan is reading my cookbook this morning, and we are trying to decide what to take for our church supper tomorrow night. Dennis says to take bread cause everyone will be wanting a slice of bread, and all they will have is "plain ol' white bread". Hahaha! I may do that. I thought about making the Jewish bread "challah", but I'm not quite sure how others would feel about that. I think we should celebrate differences, and not shun them, but would a Southern Baptist Church also embrace differences? Maybe I'll make some breads and some other covered dishes. We are only requested to bring one, but I know me, if I get in the kitchen and start, I'll think of a boatload of things I want to do, and make them all!

Mom's sugar dropped yesterday when Dennis and I went to the store. Amelia did fine, but she overloaded Mom on the protein drink that brings her sugar back up, so her sugar not only came up, it went high! I know Amelia didn't mean to, and I told her she did fine, but the poor thing was scared! Poor little Logan was down the street at a neighbor's house (who wasn't home) looking for help. And here I am...big dunce me.....forgot my cell phone on the kitchen counter. <*SIGH*>  Mom went to bed after we got her around, and her clothes changed. Her sugar dropping is becoming more and more frequent, and I am beginning to worry that we may have to try something else. I never thought I would ever see my Mom in this condition. Cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer's......these are evil, horrid diseases.

Loren is alright....considering....we went to her house yesterday and talked a bit. She was strong and held her own, but you could tell she had been crying alot. She said the doctor told her that she did everything alright, but sometimes these things happen, especially with twins, and no one knows why.

Today I WILL finish Amelia's dress, and I WILL finish laundry. LOL! Today, I WILL read with Logan and help him and I WILL bake bread!

Supper tonight is BBQ ribs in the crockpot (already on) and (baked) potatos, a veggie and a salad.

These are my ramblings for today....

  1. Prayers for your mom - and you! That is a huge cross to bear and can be exhausting. Remember to take care of you too.

You are in my prayers. We went through diabetes and alzheimers with my mom.

  3. Thanks for the welcome. I agree with you about the bread. I know I would love it and I would want to know more about it . I will never forget when I was able to attend a Sader dinner. I love different foods and traditions. Have a blessed day and I hope your mom's health gets better.
