I know my being hard of hearing is amusing to some, but I am tired of being yelled at because I can't hear people. I get made fun of, and it hurts my feelings.
I am going to get my hearing examined soon and use some of Mom's house sale money to get a hearing aid, cause I know I'll need one.
That is a cute graphic.I can't hear either or as my husband says I have selective hearing(LOL) Have a blessed day.Hope everything goes good with the house:)

I agree, being hard of hearing is not a laughing matter. I used to be able to hear sunshine, now if there is other background noise I have a hard time hearing when someone is speaking to me. Or if I have to holler for the children I sometimes can't hear if they answer. (I guess I shouldn't holler for them to begin with because I expect them to come to me if they need me but ... I do) Please don't be to hard on yourself friend. I am praying for you.

ReplyDeleteI do understand how it is to feel yelled at all the time. I am completely deaf in my left ear and only have 40% hearing in my right ear. If you are on my left side, you might as well be talking to the wall:P
Here's what my family did for me. We are all learning sign language. We spend several hours each day just whispering. The quiet helps to improve my hearing just a bit but only because my brain can focus on any given sound instead of ALL the sounds at once.
Most times, when more than one noise is happening at a time, it's all a drone to my ears I can't distinguish one noise over another.
I wonder, sometimes, if I"ll go completely deaf. I think I will miss the sounds of our farm. I never really thought about a hearing aid or if it will solve my problem. I suppose I could go find out:)
You are lifted in prayer here.
God be with thee!
