Look what I have!!!
My grandson is the Great Pumpkin!!! (I love the look on his face! LOL!)
Guess what I got today from Freecycle!
A chalkboard! A 3X6 chalkboard! Now I have to figure out what to do with it! LOL!
Love you all and will talk to you soon!
PS: I'm on Jury Duty this week too......
I know my being hard of hearing is amusing to some, but I am tired of being yelled at because I can't hear people. I get made fun of, and it hurts my feelings.
I am going to get my hearing examined soon and use some of Mom's house sale money to get a hearing aid, cause I know I'll need one.
Talked to Momma's atty today about the sale of her house. Apparently, it went through yesterday, but the Title Company paid her next door neighbor $175 dollars for mowing her yard because he filed a claim.
Ummm... doesn't the title company HAVE to ask me if they can pay him? I thought that they did. I am angry because although he DID mow Mom's yard for her, he also did it BEFORE she left her home, and used HER mower for his yard and hers AFTER she moved in with us until we went and got it!
Now, how can he file a claim against her home estate with out consulting me (the executress)?
I am awaiting the paperwork, which should be here by the end of the week, or beginning of next week. I will be calling the Title Company and raising dickens with them for NOT asking me first.
I want Mom's money back.
and I am gonna bake some bread here in a few, do some laundry (as soon as I finish my coffee...Promise!), cut out a dress to get ready to sew for cooler months coming on, finish my shawl I am crocheting (only a couple of rows to go), and generally straighten up the house a bit.
Sounds good, doesn't it?
But first, I really must go and get a shower.
Found this on another blog that I visit.... it's cute and I thought I would play too!

Things here have been alright. Been working. I did tal to my boss about either going on 12 hour weekends with a couple of 8 thru the week, or doing 2- 16's and getting it done for the week. I wanna be home where I belong...
Dennis canned 9 pints of Peach Butter today. Our peaches were left alone just a tad too long and most were bad by the time we got to them, but we can thank God for what we do have, right?
Our little granddaughter stayed all night last night. What a blessing she is! She woke me up at 12:30a, 2:30a, and 4:30a. I would do it all again, given half a chance... :) She catnapped on my lap while I finished my shawl I am making.
We went today and bought Abigail some new ballet shoes, and leotards. Have to take 'em back, and get a smaller size, but they are cute, I think! And I bought some fabric to make her some skirts to wear over top of her leotard.
Oh! Another blessing! A dear friend of mine gave me.... yes, I said GAVE ME 2 boxes of schoolbooks from her children! YIPEE! She just said she hoped I could get some use out of them! I'll tell her tomorrow that I have already chosen Logan's math book! LOL!
Well, I'm off to bed this fine day. May get to talk to you all again tomorrow, but we have church and then I have work. But that's alright. The Lord has blessed me with a job. SO many others don't have that luxury, now do they?
***What gifts have you received from the Lord lately?***
Chas over at My Cup Runneth Over has a gorgeous pumkin patch to give away!
Go and see what she's got! Thanks Chas for having the contest and God bless!

Huh. Now I have a "moodget". Isn't it cute?
I'm sitting here having a glass if iced tea and playing around with the computer. I need to pay the house payment, but I also need to balance the checkbbok in order to do that. And the checkbook is in the bedroom where my hubby is sleeping. I should be able to get it figured out in about an hour, I would say. I know we've not bounced, but it is still un-nerving to be unsure of how much money is actually there, ya know? I guess I just let it get out of hand after Momma passed away, then Den's dad a mere month later. I really need to get out of this pity party mode and get off my hiney and get busy, don't I? So many things to do, so little time to do them in...
Had a CNA at work talking about me behind my back again. Today I got tired of it and confronted her. She became very defensive and then walked away. I can't let her continue to walk over me like that, and I am so fed up with not saying anything when she treats me like dirt. If I knew where the write up sheets were, she would have been written up today. She is always saying things like I don't help, and when a resident began to choke, she commented to my boss, "Well, I don't even think Julie was there!" Luckily, another nurse stood up for me and told my boss I was in there, or who knows what would have happened?
I must remember that the Bible tells me that " if they would do this to a green tree..." How sad that Christians are persecuted every where, every day with no end in sight, especially undeserved persecution. Not that I mean any persecution IS deserved... oh well... I'm sure you know what I mean, right?
Tomorrow is mine and Den's "date night" to go to the Rooftop Rendezvous. It's kind of like an outdoor jazz festival on a parking garage roof. We go to it every year, cause Den likes that kind of stuff. I'm not much on going, but I do cause of him. He deserves a special time to do things, and it doesn't hurt me to show my face in public once in a while! But the very best part is that our beautiful little granddaughter is staying the night with us tomorrow night.
YEA!
She was here awhile today and her and I fell asleep and had a nap before I went to work. It was a great time! She is so incredibly beautiful and I do love her so very much...
Well, I think I am going to sneak in the bedroom and get the checkbook and get busy. No time like the present, adn heaven knows it'll drive me batty until I get it done!
Talk to you all later!
Knew it was too good to be true... yesterday was wonderful, today the kitchen sink leaks....
Oh well... life goes on!
Hey~ Does anyone know how to grind wheat berries without a grain mill?
We took Dennis' little brother and his family and went to the zoo today...
We saw this guy....
And this guy.....
And MANY others, but we had more fun just by having....
alot of needed family time....
Here's Miss Abby in a turtle shell!
And Miss Amelia watching for the train....
This is DH 31 year old "baby" brother and his son, our little nephew..... (do I ever feel old now! LOL!)
And our sweet sil holding the precious one for his first train ride......
Here I am with our son, and the little blonde nephew Luke...
Here's the crew (well, most of them). Abigail, Luke and Logan playing on a statue.....
A wonderful time was had by all. We were tired, but it was a good tired. A satisfied tired by the end of the day. Granted, no work was done, but with all the tension in our families the past couple of months, we felt that we deserved a day off to have a good time, don't you?
