My Momma

A final chapter comes to an end.

My Momma died today at 3pm.

Apparently, the cancer had went the other way and gotten into her brain. At least that's what the doc said. Momma's sodium shot sky high, and the she had seizures. The doctor said there was nothing we could do. So I have been by her at the hospital since Thursday night.

Today, she took her last breath.

Momma is at peace now, and we are all grieving. Loss is hard, especially when it was the glue that held a family together for so very long.

Bye for now Momma...we will all miss you!

  1. That is sad - seems unreal I'm sure, but may the Lord be with you all during this time and be encouraged by God's Word and all the ways He will be blessing you. I know - my mom died 12/23/05 & God's faithfulness is so encouraging! Jill

  2. I have read your blog on more than a few occasions, and knew you were caring for your mother through her tough times. My sincerest sympathies for your loss! As you said, although you will meet again, you will certainly miss your mother until then! May you feel the Lord beside you now!

I wanted to write and say what a loving person you are to have cared for your mother even while I know you were balancing quite a lot with your children, home, and job! You are a very special person. Your children will always remember your acts of love.

    Blessings,

  5. Julie, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I lost my mom about 1-1/2 years ago to congestive heart failure and I understand your sadness.

You were very good to her. Even though her cognitive function was decreased, I'm sure she felt very loved in your home. What a tremendous gift!

    Bless you, dear..........Denise (prairiemom)
