when you have a Mom that cannot speak clearly or use the correct words to express what she wants.
My Mom just got angry with me because I had to ask her what she was talking about when she came to me insisting something about "when you p**p".....I thought she meant toilet paper, which I knew there was plenty on the roll, so I went with her to look. There was plenty, but she flipped the light on and told me, "There! Is red!' and off, it was, "Blad." But she needed it on so she could go in, and I guess needed me to go see.
I'm not sure. Gotta love her!
You have a very nice family & may the Lord continue to bless you taking care of your Mom. She is fortunate to be with you. My mom was in a resthome, which was a very nice one & her sister was close by, but I wonder if all the medication they give is really necessary. Anyway, she is through with all that now and free from pain in Heaven. God is good! Jill
ReplyDeleteToo cute. My mom now has Alzehimers so what she now says isn't all that clear either, lol. I understand the words just not the sentences,LOL. Poor babe.

I loved your weekend pictures. You must have had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteYour patience with your mother is admirable. God will bless you very much for your kind and giving heart, I believe.
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. We had so much fun at the grad. party. We realized we need to have people over more often.
Blessings from the Big Sky Country.......Denise (prairiemom)
You are doing what all grown children should do. Too many take the "easy way out" and put their parents in a nursing home. That's simply not how God intended it!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you for caring for your mother at what could be a very frustrating, heart-wrenching, difficult time!
