Dinner with the Fam...

As most of you know, I am on Weight Watchers, and have been, for the most part, successful in my endeavors. However, I have recently had a "falling off the wagon" so to speak, and after a couple of weeks of nonsense eating, I pulled my head out of my rear end, and got back on track.
This involved some tears and voicing concerns about my emotional eating, and inability to curb it. My precious husband understood. Breaking out the cookbooks last night, he came upon Chicken with Apples and Cider for supper tonight. Absolutely delish! And as sides, we had brown rice with mixed veggies and a salad on the side. All for a mere 16 points! (I had some cottage cheese too though...)
It means alot to me that my family is pulling together to help me through a hurdle. Isn't that what families do? Help each other? In this case, I didn't get any pics of the food, but I did get dd helping in the kitchen (a rare pic~ I may keep it.. it will be worth money someday. ).
And with almost 25 pounds gone, I sure don't want to stop now!

Weird hillbillies....

Not to offend anyone that may be from the beautiful mountains of Kentucky or elsewhere, but why do hillbilly men act so silly? LOL!
Mine has done things like this since the day we met... I finally got him to wear shoes in the winter. That was an amazing feat (feet... get it?), and to wear a coat.....
But today, my love, my mate, the other half of me, decides to go outside for a minute.... I go to the door to peek and see just what he's doing, and look at this.....

He made me a "Snow Bear".
LOL!
And no... my hill-jack wasn't cold.
God, I love that man.
:)

*Sigh* Winter.....

....is it ever gonna end? I know, its only January, but geez! Enough with the snow already! LOL!

I realize that this is what winter is supposed to be, but hubby and I are having a serious case of cabin fever. His bike is still in the hospital, having an old man overhaul, and mine is out in the garage... missing me.

We have another storm coming our way, supposed to drop freezing rain and the like on us Monday and Tuesday, which are my days to go to Muncie for work. An hour drive on a country road in freezing rain. Nice. I may need to change my days around, but if I do, I'm afraid I may see even worse weather toward the end of the week! GAH!
Anyway~ we've processed 2 deer this season, and have a lot of meat from them. Gave oldest boy quite alot. He's got a growing family, and needs it much more than Dad and I do.  :)
The same son found out that they are having a boy in May!!! YEA!!! So our family is making preparations for that too.
Youngest daughter is driving now, a little at a time, but driving. She has to pull my seat in my truck completely forward and up in order to see over the steering wheel, as she is the teeny one of the family, but she does well!  :)
And we are quite proud of her... :)

Anyway~ there's not much else going on in our household lately. Goes along with the winter weather, I guess. Time for the world to slow down and recoup.
And that's what we're all trying to do.... recoup..... cause SPRINGS a COMIN'!!!!!!!  WOOHOO!!!!
