Harvest Party!!!!

At Gateway Vineyard!

We had a blast!
Took tons of pictures, but for some strange reason, I can't get them to load to my blog from my laptop.
Anyway, we had hayrides, and games, and a bonfire, and food galore!
Great times, great people, and it was truly blessed by the Lord.
Thank you Pastor Chris and Debbie for leading us in the right way...
We love you both!

An Autumn Journey

We took off on hubby's bike and saw some lovely things. People think of fall as being cold, rainy, and generally nasty. And while I agree (cause I don't like what comes after), it does make for some wonderful pics!
This is a place out in the country that hubby took me to. Lovely, isn't it? I'm hoping to visit again in the Spring when all is in bloom....
Couldn't resist a bit of color in the "brown-ness" of it all....
 Another serene spot...
This is a trail we walked. Thought it looked rather "Halloween-ish", don't you?
 Hanging on.
The Lord's awesome beauty telling the world it's time to rest.
3 visitors we saw in a field. Aren't they lovely? And running away, they were even more so.... guess I never realized how long their tails were! LOL!

My New Camera....

my old camera is a piece of poop. Literally. I guess i didn't realize how big a piece of poop it was until I borrowed someone else's camera to take some pics. I HAD to have a new camera. It was of vital importance to me, and lo and behold... I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D5000.
I love it. It loves me, and it takes some absolutely stunning pictures!

The photos are so crisp and clear. And the camera is so easy to use. Glad we invested.

And summer comes to an end.......

... but not without hubby trying to squeeze a few last minutes of riding. So we went, again, today. It was lovely weather for it, and as we turned down a gravel road in the country, a truck followed. Thinking nothing of it, we continued on our merry way, carefully navigating the gravel, as one should on a motorcycle. Soon, what does the ignoramus in the truck do???? They pass us at breakneck speed, kicking up gravel and dust, until we could barely see! Personally, I was scared, but as always, my darling husband protected me and guided us to a stop near a pond that was peaceful and lovely. So I did what any good wanna be photographer does... I snapped some pics!
This is the lovely lake we hiked a minute to see, and we stood mesmerized by God's awesome beauty and love. He always shows us in some shape or way that He is there, guiding us and protecting us no matter what.

Remember the verses that say...

25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

We thoroughly enjoyed this little tidbit of beauty the God gave us, and the solitude that it did provide, before returning on our journey.
And what a wonderful journey it was!
