HAPPY 22nd JAKE!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
And on another note, hubby and I took off on our bikes today, got caught in the rain, he bought me supper, and we had a wonderful time together!
Here on the homestead, our daughter in law cooked supper, which smelled delish, son came home from work and she fed him, now other dd is straightening up the kitchen, and I wanted to post a quick note before I go to bed.
The other job I had applied for, fell through. Guess God didn't want me there after all, so I shall try something else! But in the meantime, I pray I am given patience to get through the hard, long days and keep my temper intact and under wraps.
Nothing much else to say!
G'nite!
We went to the beach one day. Just had us a grand ol time.... playing in the water and having fun together....
Brother and sister love..... LOL!
As most of you know, we live in the city, but long for the country. Not a huge farm, just a small place, with enough room for a few chickens, a cow, and an out building or two. Big enough for us... but until then, we make do with what we have, and what we do have are small garden areas that produce enough for us to can a few items, and freeze some. We enjoy bringing our piece of farm to the city, and will continue to do so until the Lord either gives us a place in the country to call our own, or He calls us home.....
We think our gardens are doing pretty good though!
Check these out!
Our tomato plants just under my kitchen window....
The raised garden bed that hubby built for me... this year it's holding green beans and brussel sprouts...
Here's the back garden bed..... we have cucumbers, tomato plants, pepper plants and cabbages in this one!
This used to be a flower bed.. now it hold greens and beans....
OH! And had to throw this in... we planted an apple tree a few years back. First year none... now, about 3 years later (maybe 4), there's 12 apples. Not much, but it makes us happy! :)
I guess what I'm trying to say is, when the Lord said to be content with what you have, He meant this... we're making do with what He has graciously provided. And we are happy.....
Even using His sunshine to dry my clothes! LOL!
We had a good time on the 4th celebration (which here in our town was the 3rd...). Grabbed a cooler full of soda, some chips, and family, and off we went!
Here's best friends Ally and Abi.
Abi is our daughter...
Our son, Jerry... daughter in law Kim and granddaughter Rose in the background...
Grandpa and his sidekick enjoying each other. She loves her Grandpa's beard! :)
And us... enjoying each other and our family time together.
