Windy Day.....

Today is showing itself to be a windy one, so far. Good day for laundry to be out, I imagine.  It rained last night, but the weather says that's over for today, so I'm gonna go ahead and try it. Hopefully, clothes will dry and not get an extra rinse! LOL!

We're back in saving money mode.... big time. Son and daughter in law and new baby moved in, and it's a tight one.  Son has been looking for work, and wants to stay in Indiana, but DIL.... well... let's just say that's a different story all together. Doesn't want to look for work, doesn't want to help around the house, is a messy gal..... can we say "Getting on Momma's nerves"? So I am making a list of chores to be done and places to go for applications tomorrow and when I get home from work, I want them done or heads are gonna roll...... Our son gets up with the baby all night, he changes her, he gives her a bath, he feeds her... while DIL sits and plays on the computer. It's a bit distracting, one might say. And I'm trying to be nice. Definitely a time for the Lord to put His hand over my mouth, cause once it opens, it's a dangerous tool He's given me......

Anyhoo~ Heard from our cousins and Aunt last night. Our 19 year old cousin took off and left her baby with her Momma and daddy (our Aunt and Uncle). Not that that's a bad thing, mind you, cause the babe is taken care of, but that she took off, and no one knows where she is.  Her and our Amelia have the same problem... growing pains.... but why do they think they have to grow up so fast? And why in heavens name do they think taking off is going to solve all their problems? My Aunt and I are worried to death and the girls Daddys just say when they get their bellies full of being rebellious, that they'll come home tail between their legs. I hope so. Cause being a Momma..... I'm scared to death.

Supper tonight is pork chops, chicken, a veggie and rice(?). I might just get around to making some bread since it isn't so terribly hot out today....

The Quiet of the Morning....

hasn't lasted long. The animals need fed, and housework needs done. It's supposed to rain today, so I think I will be busy with my homework too.

We went out yesterday for awhile on the bikes. Mine came out of the shop yesterday from her 600 mile check up (at 935 miles). LOL! Runs like a top! Glad to have it back home again.

We just cruised the countryside and hit some twisties... nothing major, but we had a great time just being together for awhile.

Last night was another one of those nights that I just couldn't sleep at all.  I dozed off about 10PM or so and was awake again by 10:30. Tossed and turned till about 12:20 trying to get comfortable, and gave up on it. It just wasn't happening for me last night. So I got up awhile and piddled around then went back to bed about 2. Finally got some sleep.

Been worrying alot about my Amelia. She's been gone now over a month, and no word. Where is my daughter? Why won't she call me? Why did she leave? All I want is for her to come home and let me know she's ok. 17 year olds are not old enough to be on their own.

Please pray for her safety.

Today....

it was supposed to rain.  It did... later into the afternoon and evening. Which is ok cause I had alot of housework to do. Besides, my bike is in the shop for its 600 mile check up.  (At 935 miles.) Hubby left me the keys to his to ride, but I had too much to do!

Got laundry finished up and dried out on the line,  made homemade chicken and dumplings (yes, homemade dumplings) and homemade biscuits! Yummy! My son finished cutting up a load of wood and DIL stacked it.  (With a GREAT deal of encouragement, I might add...she's not the most energetic apple in the barrel) Working together as a family always works the best, in my opinion.  Today we did.

I need to work on my school work a bit this evening before hitting the sack and heading to work in the AM. I am thoroughly disgusted with my current place of employment. They like to ask people to NOT chart certain things that happen, and have people chart things that they did not actually see! I don't nurse that way, and I have no intentions on starting either.  Hubby thinks I need to find another job. I may have to before something happens.
