Brrr...... it's been cold! The first snap of winter weather came and I couldn't even get to work one night. I work about a 40 minute drive away, and the State Patrol said, "There's no way...". I tried to go, but it just wasn't in the cards.
Another nurse ended up staying for 2 days because she couldn't get home. It was that bad. Then we had another round of it just a few days ago, and our daughter has been of school for 3 days!
But, thank you God, we are safe, and warm, and have enough food to eat, so there's nothing to complain about, right? :)
I've moved a chair from the living room, so we can bring in some extra wood and let it dry. Unfortunately, the roof to our "wood bin" caved in, and our wood is all snow covered and soaked. But again, at least we HAVE wood to bring in and dry.
We have been blessed because a bill that was due (almost $2000) that these people were taking us to court for in March is almost paid. DH has been working almost every night, and I have been blessed by getting a raise, and already we have paid $1600 of it! $300 to go! DH called them today and the lady he spoke with said to him, "Well, as long as it's paid by the end of the month!" Ummm... excuse me? The court date was the middle of March!?! Don't we have until then to pay it? Grumpy ol hen.... maybe she's just mad cause they CAN'T take us to court, cause the Lord once again provided us with the means to get out from under the bill.
I spent some money on "me" time today though. I needed to get my nails done and I ended up getting my hair trimmed and colored. Spent about $30, but DH knew I needed "something" so it was a "me" time. Selfish? Probably. Could've spent the money elsewhere? Definitely. But my spirits are up again, and I am not as down in the dumps as I have been lately.

Have chicken out for supper tomorrow, and am psyching myself up for work tomorrow night. Things will go well, I know they will.
